Story&

Our

Founder

Worth It Pilates came to be not at all by coincidence, but truly by the Lord’s provision and design. After years of working in Corporate America, our founder, Georgia May, felt called by the Lord to open Worth It. Always with an entrepreneurial spirit but uncertain of what exactly that looked like, Georgia first felt the nudge from the Lord to open Worth It in February 2025 and after months of prayer, began taking actions steps later in the year. The final “sign” that started the ball rolling occurred in October, on a Monday morning at her then regularly attended studio. The night prior, Georgia had asked her in-laws to pray for clarity and direction for her after sharing her heart for the studio. Earlier in the year, Georgia had decided that her “motto” for the year job-wise was “Progress; Not Perfection.” Monday morning, she walked into her 6am scheduled class and found this on the letter board:

She quickly snapped a picture and settled into class. Immediately after, she called her husband, Max, and said that she may have gotten the clarity she needed- sending him the picture. He lit up over the phone and said “Well, it sounds like we’re opening a studio!” And then the studio progress began!!!

A Photograph of a letter board that reads: “Strive for progress, not for perfection. - Joseph Pilates” This quote inspired Georgia May, the founder of Worth It: A Reformer Pilates Studio, to take a leap of faith and open a pilates studio.
